Message: Absolute best bang for your buck with a location so close to down town. I lived here for 2 years with my grad school roommate. There is a TON of space in these units.. The apartment building is best described as 'Dorm meets retirement community' - it's mostly DMU grad students and retirees. So it always felt sooo safe. We were notoriously poor at locking our door during the day and never had a problem (not that I recommend our chaos).. It's very well maintained, VERY well managed, and an overall safe place to live. I love and miss Megan in the office. With a few exceptions, maintenance was quick to respond.. Some cons: It's definitely an older building, so there's weird stuff like no overhead lights in the rooms and living room.. Another con (for us at least): smoking is allowed in the unit. We were at the end of a hall so our bathroom vents were shared with the apartment across the hall. Their smoking made our apartment smell terrible - it got on our professional clothes, etc.

Message: Loved living there for two years. Front desk staff is super friendly and helpful and maintenance is always quick to fix any issues. The apartments were spacious and well kept. Only complaints is frequent construction that can be loud sometimes and occasional bats in the fall which Maintenance is always quick to address as well. Overall would definitely recommend.

Message: Pros: The building and leasing managers are super friendly and accommodating. Every policy or rule is implemented with plenty of common sense in mind. Late fees for rent aren't outrageous. They are responsive to maintenance calls and all of the facilities are kept up and continually invested in. The building has several layers of locked doors in order to get to your apartment.. The building implemented parking passes in 2019, but they do give you visitor passes to use. Sometimes the several points of locked doors can be a nuisance. Paying rent is mainly done by dropping off a check, and there isn't an online portal for paying rent, but the leasing and building managers are all very responsive to phone calls. Overall a very positive experience renting from 3000 Grand Apartments.

Message: We have been living in these apartments for about 5 months and have been very happy here. The apartment units are homey with large living room and dining room spaces. We have been able to have lots of family over and comfortably be able to accommodate everyone. We always feel safe here and haven't had any issues with loud neighbors or anything like that. Maintenance has been quick and responsive if we ever need them; issues are normally resolved within a day.

Message: We love living here! The staff is awesome and very responsive to our needs. Any time I have had to call maintainence, the issue is resolved promptly and they are very respectful of my home. My only issue with this apartment is that other tenants are allowed to smoke in their units and it fills the hallway. I definitely did not sign up for that when I signed my lease. The smell never gets into our unit but I hate smelling it so strongly in the hallway.
